National Mission

National Mission on Oil Seeds and Oil Palm (NMOVP)

1-Name of the scheme:- National Mission on Oil seeds and Oil Palm(NMOOP)

2-Operation of the plan :-The scheme is being implemented from the year 2014-15.

Under the plan, two mini missions are operated, whose details are as under

A-mini missions- (Oilseed program)

1- Necessity of the scheme :- National Mission on Oil seeds and Oil Palm scheme is being implemented from2014-15 for increase in oil seed crop production and its productivity in the state.

2- Objective :-
  • Planning of crops on the basis of agro-climatic zone, eg. Oil seed crop in Rabi,Kharif and Jaid in Bundelkhand
  • Increase in area of crop, production and productivity. Demonstration of season favourable crop.
  • To make the state self-sustainable in view of demand of oil seeds.
  • Ensuring high margin by reducing cost of production to small and marginal/scheduled caste/scheduled tribes/women farmers through this crop.
  • To provide assistance to farmers through various programs to encourage the production of oilseed crops.

3-Area of Operation :- 75 District

4-Funding Pattern :- 60% Central share and 40% state share.

5:- Mini missions- Facilities to be given to the farmers for various programs under :-

1 Purchase and use of breeder seed 100% of the price of Breeder seed decided by ICAR is admissible s grant.
2 Production of Foundation seed Rs.1000 per quintal on foundation seeds of all notified notified oil seeds crops for 10 years and Rs,1100 per quintal for all variety/hybrid notified for 5 years.
3 Production of Certified seed Rs.1000 per quintal on purchase of certified seeds of all notified notified oil seeds crops for 10 years and Rs,1100 per quintal for all variety/hybrid notified for 5 years.
4 Distribution of Certified Seed 50% of the cost or Rs.2500 per quintal whichever is less, on all variety notified for 15 year and 50% of the cost or Rs.5000 per quintal whichever is less, on hybrid variety and certified seed of Til notified for 10 year .
5 Regional Demonstration Crop Admissible Grant Rate
Seasem(Til) 50% of the cost or maximum Rs.3000 per hectare
Groundnut 50% of the cost or maximum Rs.7500 per hectare
Soyabean 50% of the cost or maximum Rs.4500 per hectare
Rai/Mustard 50% of the cost or maximum Rs.3000 per hectare
Alsi 50% of the cost or maximum Rs.3000 per hectare
Sun Flower 50% of the cost or maximum Rs.4000 per hectare
