Pest Surveillance and Advisory Unit

  • As per directions of Government of India, Uttar Pradesh government has constituted Pest surveillance and advisory Unit at state and district level. At state level, meeting of the committee every month is organized under the chairmanship of Director, Agriculture, Uttar Pradesh and data received fro district level pest surveillance and advisory unit is examined, presented, monitoring of surveillance and ensure implementation on recommendations received.
  • For timely information of knowledge about pests, disease and weed control, talks are broad casted and telecasted from time to time so that the farmers can get the benefit of timely information. Comprehensive technical knowledge is being provided continuously to the farmers through training/workshops to benefit the farmers as per their need.

Meeting of Pest surveillance and advisory Unit at state level held on 16.09.2016 at 11.00 AM in forenoon in the chamber of Additional Deputy Director (Farm Protection) ,Uttar Pradesh with the consent of Director, Agriculture in which following members participated:

Status of Insect/Disease Menace

In the meeting, detailed discussion was held among the agriculture scientist and experts and representatives of progressive farmers about the timely control of insects / disease in crop sown mainly in Kharif along with horticulture and vegetables.
